The Minority in Parliament has disputed claims by government that it has created more than one million jobs since assuming office in January last year.
Deputy Ranking Member on Finance, Cassiel Ato Forson said government’s claims cannot be backed by the situation on the ground.
According to him, the government cannot even claim credit for some of the jobs especially those in the education and security sectors.
He said, while some of the figures are dubious, in some instances the government only sacked old employees and replaced them with new ones.
On the Nation Builders Corps, Mr. Ato Forson said government must come clear on sustainable sources of funding to keep it going.
