Queen Of Belgium Arrives In Ghana For A 3 -Day Visit


Queen of Belgium, Queen Mathilde, has arrived Accra for a three day state visit. She was met on arrival by Minister of Gender and Social Protection, Okito Afisa Gyaba and some government officials.

The Queen will be at the Flagstaff House on Friday to meet President Akufo-Addo.

The two leaders will later address a public lecture on the topic “The SDG’S, a transformative agenda for the future that we want” at the University of Ghana, Legon.


On Thursday (Feb. 8), the Belgium Queen will tour some parts of Accra. This will include a visit to Osu Presbyterian SHS where she will inspect an ICT Lab installed by a Belgium Company.

She will also visit the Makola Market and interact with traders.

Queen Mathilde will on Thursday visit the Niche Cocoa industry at the Tema Free Zones enclave, a Private Company Financed by Bio Invest, Belgium’s Investment Company for Developing Countries.

On Friday the last day of her visit, Queen Mathilde will visit the Private Ego Mushroom site, Sunflower Elementary School and other projects.

Queen Mathilde will be accompanied by Vice Prime Minister Alaxander De Croo and some business executives.
