Asamoah Gyan has returned to the Black Stars team ahead of the double-header AFCON qualifier against Sierra Leone.
Coach Kwesi Appiah after recalling Gyan to augment his attack has left out Andre Ayew and his brother, Jordan for the upcoming tie.
Ghana will host Sierra Leone in the first leg in Kumasi on October 11 before playing the reverse fixture four days later.
Coach Appiah also recalled several long time absentees to his squad as the Black Stars seek redemption after the defeat against Kenya last month and wielded the axe on some players who failed to live up to expectation.
Alaves star Mubarak Wakaso, Turkey-based Bernard Mensah, Hibernian winger Thomas Agyepong, Red Star Belgrade striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom as well as Columbus Crew defender Jonathan Mensah all returned for the match.
Fit-again Emmanuel Boateng returns in the place of his Levante team-mate Dwamena.
