alcohol

As a matter of urgency the government of Ghana must ban adverts of alcoholic beverages in the media to safe more youth from becoming alcoholics.

If such action is not taken with immediate effect, the country as a whole would suffer the loss.

This was made known to Ghananewsaid.com in an exclusive interview by a renowned Evangelist, Karl Opoku in Techiman of the Brong Ahafo Region.

He said the action when taken would help safe more youth from getting into the habit of taking excessive alcoholic beverages which has become very common in the youth.

The Evangelist who used to practice journalism narrated how very young people between the ages of 14 – 25 are now been lured into the act because of the rampant adverts on the air waves.

He called on the Food and Drugs Authority to come out with a plan to curb the menace.
He questioned why drinking bars are springing up everywhere in the country and nobody seems to be noticing the development.

Evangelist Karl Opoku said the time has emerged for all to champion the agenda by frequent outcry for the ban everywhere in the entire country since it is very urgent.
