Kim and Kourtney Kardashian Freak Out Their Fans With a Hanacure Face Mask Selfie

It’s been a couple of years since Hanacure’s All-in-One Facial went viral, thanks in part to Drew Barrymore, who became one of the first of many to post a selfie while wearing the unique K-beauty treatment. The great irony of this mask is that people use it to help make their skin look its best, but they just can’t resist sharing photos of the process because it makes them look their weirdest. The latest celebrities to offer an alarming look at their Hanacure experience: Kim Kardashian West and Kourtney Kardashian.

Kourtney posted a photo on Wednesday showing the two eldest Kardashian sisters looking a little…different. Usually seen with impeccable makeup and a filter or two, Kim and Kourtney looked a bit like their faces were melting — one of the strangest selling points of the Hanacure All-in-One Facial . “Kim convinced me to use this face mask and I feel stunning,” Kourtney wrote in the caption, mostly likely sarcastically.

The reason the All-in-One Facial has this effect is because the combination of its Lifting Serum and Gelling Solution pulls skin taut — so taut that it takes on an almost raisin-like texture and even pulls the lower eyelids down and lips apart in such a way that the user’s face looks totally different. However, celebrities like Demi Moore say the firming and brightening results of the Korean formula are totally worth it.

Even though Hanacure has become an Instagram favorite, plenty of Kourtney’s followers were clearly seeing it for the first time. In addition to countless “WTF” comments left by fans, one commenter wrote, “Lmfaoooooo what is thiiis?! 😂😂😂😂,” while another said, “Omg I thought it was a Snapchat filter.” Even Brittny Gastineau was confused, commenting, “What the heck is that?”

Little sis Kendall Jenner, seemingly aware of what Kim and Kourtney were doing, still got a huge kick out of it, writing, “i can’t breathe 😂.” Other classic comments include the all-caps, “I LITERALLY JUST MADE THE MOST INHUMANE SOUND EVER,” and, “This made me think of the movie Death Becomes Her at the end when they were at Hal’s funeral lol.” Well, both the movie and the masking session started out with a quest for youthful-looking skin, so maybe they’re onto something.
