Sources in the school indicate that, the deceased persistently complained to his friends of severe fever and body weakness about a week ago after he took part in the School’s 50th anniversary float last week.
His condition however worsened while he complained of stiff neck.
An Uncle of the deceased, identified as Dr. Edwin Okoampa Boadu, in an interview with an Accra based private radio station said he got to know of the condition of his nephew on Friday but was met with bad news of his death upon arrival at the Hospital.
Dr Boadu, said the family was told the boy was killed by meningitis and so they had to quickly inform the housemaster and leadership of the School to take safety measures.
