Did Prez Mahama Promise Dede Ayew Black Stars Captaincy?

THE SUSPISION THAT Black Stars forward and West Ham talisman, Andre Dede Ayew is keenly interested in annexing the Black Stars Captaincy seem to be an unending one

Ghananewsaid.com gathers from deep throat sources within the Black Stars camp that somewhere end of  January, 2016, Dede Ayew and some of his avowed close associates went to see the then President of Ghana, H.E John Dramani Mahama in a private and Nicodemus visit

At the said meeting, Dede Ayew is reported to have promised President Mahama a trophy which would end Ghana’s long wait for a continental fifth (5th) annex should he be made captain of the Black Stars

Ghananewsaid.com sources say, President Mahama, upon hearing this, seemed suggest that Dede Ayew’s wish could only be realized if he won the 2016 general elections

Sources say, President Mahama gave the Black Stars forward his word, and only hope he (the President) annexes the Presidential seat again.

It would be recalled that prior to the start of the AFCON 2017 staged in Gabon, sections of the online media reported of a feud between Captain Asamoah Gyan and Dede Ayew, a development Baby Jet, as Asamoah Gyan is affectionately called, denied outright

Ghananewsaid.com’s sources also say, Ghana’s Israeli coach, Avram Grant, while at the tournament  base in Gabon, was seen more interacting with Dede Ayew on match strategy and formation instead the captain of the team.

For now, we ask: Is politics entering the National team of Ghana?
