The Commission of Inquiry into the Creation of New Regions will from next week April 5, begin public hearings to afford members of the public an opportunity to make suggestions and proposals on the creation of the new regions.

A statement signed by Secretary to the Commission, Jacob Saah, said it will also give opportunity to people from the said regions who were unable to appear at the Regional public hearings to make submissions to the Commission.

The Commission chaired by Justice Stephen Brobbey, was inaugurated by President Akufo-Addo last year to establish whether there is a need and substantial demand for the creation of new regions in the Volta, Western, Brong Ahafo and Northern regions.

Over the last few months, the Commission has met with Chiefs and opinion leaders from the designated regions.
